Aims

SNITEM's aims are set out in the Organisation's Articles of Association but are in no way restrictive. They can change depending on any priorities decided on at the General Meeting or by the Board of Directors.

SNITEM's main purpose is:

To organise the nationwide grouping of companies working in the market of products or services which come under the Medical Technologies and Medical Devices industry;
To examine and defend the economic and industrial interests of its members;
To represent them, both in France and abroad, in dealings with the authorities and any public or private organisation, Chambers of Commerce and other industrial, commercial or professional groups;
To study any subjects of economic, professional and technical nature relating to the Medical Technologies and Medical Device Industry;
To carry out any campaign or organise any event that might be deemed useful to the aforementioned Industry as a whole, in particular with respect to vocational training;
To develop and foster, among its members, respect for the general interests of the Profession as well as good relations between fellow members and impeccable commercial propriety.
etc.

The Articles of Association are available to any member who requests them.

The Articles were modified and ratified during the Extraordinary General Meeting on 24 June 2004.

In more concrete terms, SNITEM enables companies in the sector to take a place in the healthcare system and to make their expectations and proposals become known. It therefore offers the industrial community the opportunity to be officially represented in the many public structures that supervise its activities.

Internally, the SNITEM team runs a vast number of specialised, technical or economic work groups, together with Member companies, which exploit their specific knowledge whilst relating it to a general issue, common to the medical technologies industry.
